Tenterden is a Cinque Port, once being on the coast and served by ships sailing up from New Romney and landing at Small Hythe. When waters receeded, the Romney Marshes were formed cutting Tenterden off from the sea. Since then, it has thrived as a market town and today its wide boulevard boasts an eclectic mix of antique emporiums, boutique shops and tea rooms. Tenterden even has its own steam railway winding through the unspoilt Wealden countryside to Bodium Castle. Secure gated parking available for guests with vehicles.
